First time in Whitby so pleasantly surprised!

Fantastic shops, mostly very quirky and unusual rather than the normal high street rubbish and tourist tat. Lots to see and do from a variety of museums (never seen a baby lobster before!) to short trips out into the North Sea - complete with pirate! Fish and chips everywhere! Lovely interesting pop up markets. Easy parking. Train station smack bang in the middle of town. All easy walking distance providing you can cope with one or two steepish routes. Did one side of the river on one day and the other on day 2 - just enough to keep us busy for two full days. Highly recommend as an interesting getaway.

Been going to Whitby for years, always enjoy it.
Been going to Whitby for years, always enjoy it. There's plenty to do and see, the museum in Pannett Park is well worth a visit, but allow most of the day, it's got everything from dinosaur fossils to matchbox cars. The Abbey is dear for what it is, I went 60 years ago when it was free, I wouldn't pay to go in unless you're really interested in that stuff. However, across from the Abbey is Whitby brewery, so you can have a pint while sitting and looking at the Abbey. Much better option imo. A good place to eat is Trenchers fish restaurant and the Ship Inn is my favourite pub

A combination of a lot of things, the history, the beach, the pubs , the location... these are all good things. Wetherspoons and the little Angel pub are favourites of ours.
The negative are, things can be a little bit pricy. Not all the fish and chip shops are good.

Greatocatio for peace and quiet, not far to Whitby itself. Room. Very nice, strange lumpy mattress. Great views of the garden and visiting deer coming for the fallen apples.
Restaurant food OK messed up food order sides arrivedcafter mains. Wine very over priced for a standard sauvignon. Charlie waitress very friendly but made a mistake and I was over charged £80. Hotel quickly resolved on calling them. Hopefully a one off. Didn't visit the spa but looked good in the broucher.
I booked for 2 nights for a solo birthday treat at this hotel based in a pub and was so impressed! My room was up a very unprepossesing flight of narrow stairs those with mobility problems may have a problem) and let myself into an absolute surprise of room! Well decorated, well presented, absolutely comfortable, and sparkling clean. Fabulous views over Whitby harbour. I booked bed and breakfast with my room, and each morning, I had an amazing, freshly cooked breakfast.
Great location, very comfortable and clean. A great place for self catering as the kitchen area was well stocked. Tea & coffee, sugar & some biscuits were supplied & even milk in the fridge (semi-skimmed would have been better than while but I know I’m being very picky). Small tubes of shower gel etc and clean soft towels. We didn’t switch the tv in but it was there and there was plenty of space & lovely views of Pannet park & Whitby abbey.
The property was in a perfect location in Whitby, very quiet.
There was parking right outside the door.
The rooms were all very spacious and comfortable.
The kitchen was like a home to home.
Linen was fresh and spotless.
Ease of check-in check-out was fantastic.
Couldn't use the back exit due to it being co-owned with the neighbours.
Will definitely book again through this company. Host and stay.
Beautiful apartment with original wooden floors sash bay windows and plenty of space for 4 adults and a couple of little dogs, host even left some milk, tea and coffee for our arrival. Parking is a bit of a nightmare expected really in a busy seaside resort with parking restrictions, but there is plenty of space a 10 min walk away. Would 100% stay again if I was in whitby thank you
Room was spacious, mattress in bed was first class - want one at home. Although did not have a sea view room was great - even near reception etc we were not disturbed. Parking on forecourt or on street opposite with parking voucher supplied by hotel. Breakfast was very good! Staff very accommodating! Good location for visiting Whitby.
The breakfast was excellent, especially the wonderful black pudding. The hotel was situated in a quiet area with parking, a must for Whitby. It was an easy short walk into the centre. Paula was so welcoming with tea and delicious home made fruit cake on our arrival. As dog lovers, we loved Denzil, the very well behaved Labradoodle.
Staff friendly and efficient food and bar very good. location a convenient short bus ride to centre and harbour with bus stop at door and short walk to supermarket. The car park is big enough with wide spaces. I was very happy with our stay and pleased with my choice of this property. Many thanks to all the staff.
An ideal base from which to explore Whitby and the surrounding areas. The property was all we could have hoped for, with such a friendly host in Alison. The breakfast was wonderful, as were the delicious cakes.
So many thoughtful little extras. We can highly recommend.
Situated close enough to Whitby to be convenient yet also far enough away to get a break from the crowds is Whitby. Only one min away from station and only one stop from Whitby. Parking was on site and the hotel was quiet and well maintained.
Breakfast was perfect, room was clean, spacious and had exceptional views, location fantastic, hosts welcoming and friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Whitby. Perfect weekend break.
It was a really cosy and friendly space, that was clean and bright with lovely views across the harbour. The location was perfect for walking into Whitby town and the Abbey.
Stepping into luxury in beautiful location, close to the sea. Staff very welcoming and not at all stuffy. Lovely views from swimming pool and Spa an added bonus
It was a 1-2 mile walk from Whitby. It was dog friendly, the room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff were helpful. The breakfast was very good
